This leading American multinational retail corporation has nearly 600 locations worldwide and serves upwards of 1,500 specialty stores and department stores. As they continually grow their network, their outdated system for monitoring endpoints across the network are no longer reliable. This global retailer needed to rapidly detect and remediate issues on servers including all endpoints on and off the network. Furthermore, they required real time visibility and an automated patching system as well as reporting capabilities for all endpoints.

The team at Micro Strategies partnered with IBM consultants to understand the client’s business plans and their concerns regarding their endpoint management system. Together, they educated the client on the benefits of IBM’s BigFix which provides system administrators with remote control, patch management, software distribution, operating system deployment, network access protection and hardware and software inventory functionality. Based on the recommendations, the client agreed to implement BigFix Lifecycle Manager and have it deployed on 12,000 local and remote endpoints across HQ locations, 600 retail stores, and on servers in the client’s data center.
