Much has already been said about the healing power of music. But would it ever occur to you to link the healing of broken bones with composing a power ballad? Of course not. Unless you considered the companies that create the tools that help accomplish those feats. Suddenly, the common threads start revealing themselves.

It's about making connections.

Micro Strategies has donated $2,000 and a Costco gift card to Eleventh Hour Rescue in Randolph, NJ, a volunteer based non-profit organization that saves dogs from death row.

In 2013 the shelter saved over 2,600 animals. Every week about 30 dogs arrive via bus, where volunteers greet and care for the dogs after their long journey. Eleventh Hour provides animals rescued from shelters all over the United States with all the love and medical attention they require until they find their forever homes.

Workshare has today announced that it has partnered with Alfresco, to allow customers to manage content hosted on the Alfresco platform and seamlessly compare files online using Workshare Compare Server capabilities. The partnership eliminates the need for costly projects or integrations of multiple vendor technologies. The integration allows customers to gain significant value from Alfresco by allowing users to accurately compare documents across multiple devices.

Anthony Bongiovanni wakes up every day wondering how he's going to find new customers for his business, a systems integration company called Micro Strategies.

It's tough. Even Bongiovanni can admit that systems integration — building software and hardware for Fortune 500 clients — is not the sexiest business in the world. So Bongiovanni sells it in a far more exciting way.

Drag racing.

Micro Strategies has a team of drag racers, led by Bongiovanni, whose handcrafted Ford Cobra Jet speeds down straightaways around the Northeast at up to 160 miles per hour.
