Biography
Robin Scheidecker joined Micro Strategies in 2009 as the Director of Human Resources. In this role, she is responsible for all aspects of human resources, benefits, payroll, and property casualty insurance and implementing the roadmap for human resources and operational priorities aligned with the overall organizational mandate. Her expertise in these areas ensures that the company’s human resources operations run smoothly and efficiently.
A seasoned human resources professional with over two decades of experience, Robin came to Micro Strategies from Povenir, a technology company that works with financial institutions. Prior to her time at Povenir, Robin worked at Anghel Labs which later became Tripoint Global and General Dynamics. During her time there, she managed the human resources function through multiple acquisitions. This experience provided her with a unique perspective on the complexities of corporate transitions and the importance of maintaining stability and support for employees during such times.
Robin holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology from William Paterson University of New Jersey and a Human Resources Certification from Cornell University. She is also certified as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and holds a SHRM certification. Additionally, she is a Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) and has a Corporate Ethics Certification.
Robin is actively involved in industry associations, including the Employers Association of NJ (EANJ) and the National HR Association (SHRM).

What’s an important lesson you learned during your career?
An important lesson I’ve learned in my career is the value of self-confidence. Facing challenges is never easy, but believing in your intelligence and ability to learn can make a significant difference. This mindset not only simplifies overcoming obstacles but also paves the way for success.
Name a defining moment in your career.
A defining moment in my career was when I joined Anghel Labs, a small company with about 30 employees. Despite having only two years of Human Resources experience, they entrusted me with the responsibility of starting their Human Resources department as an HR Coordinator. I took this opportunity to educate myself further in my field, proving that with hard work and dedication, one can achieve success. This experience significantly boosted my confidence and taught me the value of perseverance and continuous learning.
What do you like to do in your personal time?
In my personal time, I prioritize spending time with my family. We plan annual vacations to gather everyone, especially now that the kids are in college. Additionally, I enjoy socializing with friends on weekends, walking daily for exercise, and crocheting.
What’s your favorite part of the culture at Micro Strategies?
My favorite part of the culture at Micro Strategies is the strong family environment. When I started 15 years ago, with around 40 people, I was struck by how close everyone was. Even now, with us being more than three times that size, we maintain that closeness and sense of family.
