Senior Director, Engineering
Since joining Micro Strategies in 2005, Jason Jolley has been helping customers harness technology to address the complexities of their content management challenges. As the Senior Director of Engineering, he is responsible for facilitating technical excellence, consistency, collaboration, team development, and efficient execution within the engineering teams. His role involves contributing to each practice area by aiding in the conceptualization and implementation of customer-centric solutions, while also fostering a comprehensive, interdisciplinary approach to application development. Moreover, he supports the technology teams across all practices by aiding in strategic planning, implementation, the establishment of best practices, and support during the sales cycle. His expertise spans business processes, content services, application development, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and infrastructure as code.
During his tenure at Micro Strategies, Jason has advanced through various roles, starting as a Senior Solution Architect and progressing to roles such as Manager of ECM, Director of Applications Development and Senior Director of Enterprise Architecture. In these capacities, he has been pivotal in formulating and instituting application development methodologies, setting technical benchmarks, and fostering best practices that protect the company’s technical intellectual property and promote continuous learning and knowledge dissemination across all Micro Strategies’ practices.
He has worked on many notable projects including a global deal management solution for one of the nation’s top investment banks. The project showcased his ability to orchestrate projects on a global scale, even in times when seamless global communication were a challenge. He played an instrumental part in developing the architecture for this initiative.
Jason has shared his insights on a variety of subjects, including development processes, content management, cloud technology, and artificial intelligence, at numerous conferences such as Alfresco DevCon, BoxWorks, Alfresco Summit, Alfresco TechTalk Live series, Momentum, GearUp, and the Software Craftsmanship Conference.
Prior to joining Micro Strategies, Jason’s career included roles as Chief Architect at Entology, Technical Lead at Digital Lighthouse, Developer at Sullivan Interactive, Java Facilitator at the Information Technology Institute, and independent consultant. His consulting tenure refined his pragmatic approach to delivering swift and effective value, always with a focus on the client’s perspective.
Jason holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Acadia University, a Bachelor of Arts in International Development from Dalhousie University and has completed postgraduate studies in Applied Information Technology at the Information Technology Institute.
