Q&A
What is an important lesson you learned during your career?
One important lesson I’ve learned throughout my career is the concept of “taking whole” in both my personal and professional life. It’s grounded in assessing situations comprehensively to ensure the best possible outcome is achieved. Whether it’s in business or everyday challenges, understanding the various forces at play and navigating conflicts effectively is crucial. It requires constant reevaluation and adaptability on course towards our goals amidst ever-changing circumstances.
Name a defining moment in your career.
There are two pivotal moments that stand out for me. The first was during the early stages of Bed, Bath & Beyond’s growth, when there was a significant focus on expansion. Having spent considerable time in infrastructure, I made a strategic move to transition to storefront and customer-facing operations. This decision allowed me to actively contribute to shaping the brand and directly engaging in delivering solutions, marking a crucial shift from infrastructure to application and solution delivery. This transition provided valuable insights into operational strategies, enabling me to lead transformative initiatives and deeply analyze our delivery processes.
The second defining moment occurred when I decided to depart from the retail sector and join MSI. This transition represented a major shift from a large corporate environment to a partner-focused role. Drawing from my experiences and learnings within a large organization, particularly through periods of transformation, I embraced the opportunity to leverage my insights to support other companies in achieving their objectives. It was a conscious decision to apply my expertise and drive towards helping external cuatomersnavigate their own paths to success.
What do you like to do in your personal time?
In my personal time, I like to spend quality time with my family and friends and give back through volunteering. During the winter, I go skiing, while in the warmer months, I make the most of living on New Jersey’s largest freshwater body by spending time on the water, boating, water skiing and participating in other activities. I also enjoy reading and undertaking home projects.”
