As the Chief Information Officer, Scott is a key advisor and partner in advancing Micro Strategies’ technology strategy and enhancing its global technological capabilities. He leverages his extensive experience to drive process improvements and innovations in internal IT and infrastructure. Scott oversees the company’s IT infrastructure, data, software, and security operations, ensuring robust internal technology solutions and infrastructure. His responsibilities also include managing Micro Strategies’ physical and digital security and identifying and mitigating organizational risks. Additionally, Scott leads the development and execution of a comprehensive IT strategy to meet the company’s future needs, establishing standards, architectures, and policies for technology across its global operations.
A substantial portion of his current responsibilities involves staying ahead of evolving security threats. He dedicates significant time to staying informed about the latest trends and developments in the field, ensuring that Micro Strategies and its customers are always prepared for potential security challenges. His forward-thinking approach and dedication to continuous learning make him a key asset to the company.
An important lesson I’ve learned during my career is to always step back and look at the big picture. It’s crucial not to get bogged down in the details. Maintaining a broad perspective allows for better decision-making and strategic planning. I believe in taking baby steps towards the big picture, ensuring that each small move aligns with our overall goals.
In my free time, I enjoy traveling with my wife and children, camping, and woodworking projects.
