Challenge

The client, a multi-national banking and financial services company with over 31 million customers, had implemented Global Relay Archive to mitigate risk, prepare themselves for any possible audits or litigation and comply with strict legal and regulatory requirements. They were using Box as a single place/source to manage, secure, share and govern all of a company’s content for all internal and external collaboration and processes. This was a problem since Global Relay scans actual document and when employees collaborated using Box, they were only sending links to the documents. The client approached Micro Strategies about developing an integration between their Global Relay system and Box to comply with the regulatory requirements.

Solution

Micro Strategies developed a connector that integrated Global Relay and Box. Global Relay receives any content stored in Box as well as information regarding internal and external users that access that content. The Global Relay software reviews all of the documents sent out through email.

Result

Our client’s compliance group can manage any eDiscovery requests for historical emails that contain document attachments. The integration between Box and Global Relay mitigates risk and ensures that the client is in compliance.
