As Chief Solutions Officer, Adam leads the development of integrated solutions that combine our proprietary intellectual property with the platforms of key partners, such as Box, Salesforce, and iManage. These integrations form the foundation for the successful deployment of core content management and business process solutions, services and products which drive successful outcomes for customers.
In this role, Adam not only spearheads the strategic vision for our business process and content services division but also imparts his expertise to our clients and collaborates with various departments within Micro Strategies to enhance operational productivity.
Adam’s responsibilities encompass the full spectrum of business and technology consulting, covering areas such as technology strategy, innovation, intelligent workflow automation, and DevOps. Known for his ability to unravel complex business issues, Adam excels in refining content management processes and workflows. As a consultant, he assists clients in pinpointing their core issues and steers them towards effective solutions that simplify and improve their content management practices.
Adam has established himself as a trusted advisor to a diverse array of clients—including numerous financial services firms, insurance companies and government agencies. He employs a consultative approach to address the challenges faced by clients in all aspects of content management. He devises strategies and develops document review workflows designed to enhance internal content lifecycles while also seamlessly integrating modern repositories into the clients’ pre-existing technology ecosystem, thereby optimizing the review process and saving time.
With over three decades of experience specializing in enterprise content management, business processes, and system integrations, Adam has been instrumental in curating extensive solution portfolios and carving out industry verticals for several well-known technology firms, including Entology, Light House Consulting/Digital Lighthouse, and Documentum.
Adam’s approach is exemplified by several notable instances earlier in his career. During his time at Documentum, Adam and a fellow colleague, developed solutions for the financial services market that not only established Documentum’s presence in the sector but also differentiated it by replacing legacy image systems with advanced content management solutions. Their efforts led to onboarding of major firms like ING, JP Morgan, and Morgan Stanley, marking a paradigm shift in the industry. Adam’s role as the ‘solution demo guy’ was pivotal in this, showcasing his ability to be ahead of the curve and deliver innovative solutions that resonate with clients.
Adam’s innovative approach was further demonstrated by revamping document workflow process for a customer who was grappling with delays and inefficiencies from the need to locally scan, access, update metadata, and store documents to a global content repository. He used the web browser interface of their existing image scanning solution, enabling global teams to manage documents directly from the browser. This seamless approach allowed for continuous, 24-hour operations, with teams in different regions picking up tasks as the day progressed. Adam’s solution not only predated similar technologies but also reduced the need for extra licenses, allowing the client to scale operations without additional costs. His foresight in leveraging browser technology highlighted his ability to anticipate industry needs and deliver scalable, cutting-edge solutions.
Building on decades of experience in enterprise content management, workflow design, and business process optimization, Adam is now spearheading the application of AI across Micro Strategies’ solutions. His focus is on embedding AI into content-driven processes while improving data trust and governance, enabling organizations to modernize how work gets done, make more informed decisions, and drive meaningful gains in both operational efficiency and team productivity.
Adam’s dedication to clients and partners is reflected in the multitude of accolades he and his team have garnered over the years, including distinctions such as System Integrator of the Year, Partner of the Year and Solution of the year. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems and Finance from New York University.
Q&A
What is an important lesson you learned during your career?
The importance of self-trust. It’s all about owning your expertise and the journey you’ve taken to land where you are now. Staying true to yourself is crucial; trying to squeeze into a mold doesn’t do anyone any favors. And when it comes to decision-making, sometimes the best counsel comes from your own intuition. Trusting your gut isn’t just a saying—it’s a practice that has guided me through many situations.
Name a defining moment in your career.
When I was at Deloitte, I was given an opportunity that would set the stage for the rest of my career, although I didn’t realize it at the time. I joined Deloitte to work on SQL, Windows, and Power Builder projects. I juggled programming and some project management responsibilities, and I enjoyed the work I was doing.
A colleague asked me to consider making the jump into the world of workflow imaging—an area I had zero experience in. And stepping outside of my comfort zone wasn’t exactly my thing. I decided to take the chance. The decision ended up being a game-changer. It was the first step toward expanding into the world of content management and workflow solutions. It’s a move I’ve never looked back on with regret, and it’s brought me to where I am today.
What do you like to do in your personal time?
I enjoy spending time with my wife and the ways we have fun together. I enjoy wine—whether it’s taking part in a tasting event, hosting one myself, meeting the people involved in the creation and distribution of wines or exploring a new vineyard here in the U.S. or overseas.
It might be considered a bit weird, but I have a hobby of restoring old pinball machines. It’s not tinkering with them; it’s about bringing these machines back to life. I’ve restored quite a few from the ’70s and even one from the ’60s. There’s something incredibly satisfying about taking them apart, piecing them back together, and then watching them work again.
What’s your favorite part of the culture at Micro Strategies?
I’d say it’s the lack of a rigid hierarchy. Everyone, including myself and my team, feels comfortable interacting with other members of the Micro Strategies team, regardless of position. For instance, if Anthony is in the cafeteria, no one hesitates to say hi or start a conversation with him. It’s this open and approachable atmosphere that I value—it fosters a sense of community and collaboration that I believe is essential for our success. It’s about working together as a unified team. That’s the part of our culture that stands out to me.
